Airband are recruiting a Streetworks Specialist on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract - salary circa £33,000 to £35,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience
Overview
This role is to support the PIA and Compliance Manager in driving compliance around New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, including permitting and traffic management. This role will not have line management responsibility.
Hours/Working pattern 40 Hours/ Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30
Responsibilities
• Ensuring internal/external stakeholders are competent and compliant with Permit Schemes and NRSWA.
• Cultivating and maintaining a strong, collaborative relationship with the local authorities in our areas of build.
• Managing contractor compliance and data sets.
• Managing permissions on all relevant systems such as Street Manager.
• Produce reporting on key performance indicators.
• Submit permits, road closures and TM requests when required.
• Manage any inspection failures.
• Keep current on legislation and apply changes when required.
• Record, and where appropriate, mitigating avoidable costs and ensuring recharges applied.
• Identify and report any health and safety issues via the close call reporting system.
Key Skills
• Confident with influencing and building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other IT systems such as Street Manager, WAP & Symology
• Excellent Excel knowledge.
• Ability to prioritise multiple work streams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities.

Certificates - Qualifications
Essential
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of NRSWA legislation, Streetworks permit schemes and Traffic Management Act and Codes of Practice
• Experience working with systems such as WAP, Street Manager, Aurora and Symology.
Desirable
• Street works 02 SLG
Salary will be dependant on professional experience and pro-rata.
